3 Potatoes medium sized
1/2 cup Heavy cream
100 gr Grated Cheese
40 gr Parmesan flakes
1/2 tbsp Kosher Salt
for seasoning Black Pepper
1 tbsp Garlic Powder
10 ml Olive Oil
for seasoning Parsley freshly cut

Airfried Scalloped Potatoes or Potatoes au gratin are the perfect cheesy side dish you can prepare in your Airfryer.

These Airfried potatoes take only 30 minutes. I was a bit skeptical thinking the potatoes would not cook through in only 25 minutes. However, they did well. On top of that, the cheeses were perfectly melted.

This Potato Dish recipe is popular in France and USA. The French call it Potatoes Au gratin and bake the potatoes with cheeses. The American version, on the other side, is Scalloped Potatoes. It consists of potatoes and cream. What I have done here is combining the two to create these creamy cheesy potatoes. And, naturally, I airfried it. I am sure you can try this potato dish in a convention oven and the result will be similarly delicious.

The recipe is definitely not for everyone as it is rather heavy and cheesy. You can skip the heavy cream for a lighter version. I do like though the creaminess it adds to the potatoes. Additionally, I feel it helps cook them faster.

All in all, these Airfried Scalloped Potatoes au gratin are the Dream for Cheese lovers. I highly recommend trying them as a side dish or even as a main course. You can pair these potatoes with Airfried Maple Salmon, Air Fried Juicy Salmon or Airfried BBQ Hot Chicken

Preparation time

Cut peeled potatoes into wheels. Season the potatoes with salt, black pepper and garlic powder.
Brush your AF pan with olive oil. Line up the potatoes. Cover them with the cheeses and pour a layer of heavy cream.
Continue with one more potato layer and again cheeses and cream. Season with black pepper.


Airfryer Time

Airfry for 25 minutes at 360F / 180C or until the cheeses are golden brown.
