Air fried Leche Flan is an easy dessert you can make in no time. Leche Flan is popular in many cuisines and have different names / variations to its ingredients. For instance, in Spain it is called Crema Catalana or Crema Caramel, while the French have named it Creme Brûlée’s. Needless to say, the mix of eggs, milk and sugar is delicious and enjoyed by many.
Is Airfryer or Oven a better kitchen appliance to use though? In this post, I am comparing the two cooking methods. In all honesty, I do believe that the traditional oven here is a better option. The flan cooks thoroughly. In addition, the muffin cups stay still while in the Airfryer, they move due to the rapid air circulation. This results in somewhat disformed Air fried Leche Flan.
In conclusion, though I am a big Airfryer Fan, sometimes the traditional cooking of an oven comes in handy!

PreparationMix all the ingredients in a bowl. Pour half a tsp of caramel in each silicone cup. Then pour the mixture on top. |

Cooking timeAirfyer: Pour water into an AF-safe dish and place the muffin cups inside. Cook for 25 minutes at 350F / 170C. Oven: Pour water into an oven-safe dish and place the muffin cups inside. Cook for 40 minutes at 350F / 170C. Chill before serving. |
