1 Thigh Chicken
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
Dry, 1 tsp Basil
For the Pesto
Fresh, 20 leaves Basil
1 Garlic
1/2 Lemon
2 tbsp Pine nuts
1 tsp Olive Oil
pinch of Kosher Salt

  • For the Pesto



Air Fried Pesto Chicken is a perfect summer recipe.

The chicken comes out juicy and flavorful. Additionally we are not using any oil to air fry the chicken. The reason behind is that its skin releases the needed oil to cook properly. This is why I love cooking chicken in the air fryer. Hence, I believe it is one of the most popular food items to be air fried.

It is my first time making homemade pesto. It turned out super fresh and delicate. You can notice I have put 2 table spoons of pine nuts in my pesto. I do like it nutty. Alternatively, you can adjust your amount.

Prepare the pesto

Mix all the pesto ingredients in a mixer and let it blend.


Prepare the chicken

Cut the thigh in pieces (optional). Season with the garlic powder and dry basil.

Air fry for 20 minutes at 375F / 180C.
